Billy Stark announced this evening that he is resigning from the managers’ post at East Kilbride FC, after a full-time external opportunity has become available.
Stating that it was a decision which he had reached with some reluctance, Stark said “ I have really enjoyed my spell at East Kilbride in every way. It’s a very healthy club and it’s definitely on the way up. My one regret is that I can’t stay to see them going into the SPFL, but an opportunity has arisen which I cannot dismiss.”
A club spokesman said “We completely understand and respect Billy’s decision. It has been a privilege to have Billy as our manager and it won’t be easy to fill his shoes. Due to the plans which Billy had started for next season, he will remain involved with the club in a handover period over the next few weeks”
East Kilbride will now begin the search for Billy's successor.
